Working on a fixed subject like a watch can be a great exercise in lighting, composition and creativiy in general. Using two white papers to create something of a soft box I bounced a flash straight up against the ceiling and had it bounce back again. A 50 mm, an 85 mm and a bunch of extension tubes did the rest. Very happy with both the results and the exercise. The only obvious flaw would be the red sweep hand that is looking rather messy in the first image. In the second image I timed it just right and I think the red colour and the position fits right there in the pocket.
