Just outside of our kitchen window, there is a majestic birch tree. Plenty of different sorts of birds like to sit on its various branches. This specific morning we realised that a pigeon couple seemed to have decided on making it their home for the summer. The female would sit in the nest, possible caring for an egg, while the male would fly back and forth while accumulating more sticks. I brought out my 70-200 and managed to catch first the female alone, and then the pair of them in the same image.
Here is a third image shot a few days later, during a rainfall. I cropped it even closer. I think I could crop it even tighter if I had a slightly higher shutter speed, and could open the window. I tried opening the window once but that scared her and made her fly away.
